Hi. We are having some problems about routerboard 411u. When we connect hawei usb modem and when we start routerboard it gives error about 3g. But when we reboot it connects to internet but after disconnecting power supply it is not able to connect back. After rebooting several times (maybe 5 or more) it connects again.We are using 400a 24 v battery. The models of the modems are huawei E 169 and K 2540. It is an emergeny situation.
Note: No problem occures when we use Mikrotik installed system, modems work properly.
I think it’s the old (but still existing) problem of Huawei-based USB 3g Modems only working every second reboot or so.
You know, modem works fine when it’s plugged in, but after a reboot the USB port created (usb2 or something) remains Invalid. After some more reboots the USB port becomes valid again and the modem works…
To circumvent that I posted a script somewhere in the forum which keeps on rebooting the Routerboard until the usb ports are valid again… works for me
