I have 2 RB532’s with ubiquity 600mw cards running WDS and they work great! The hotspot software and usermanager rock!!
One problem:
I just had a client show up with a new Dell B130 laptop with a Intel Pro Wireless card in it. It see’s the network, but will not pick a IP or route any traffic. The network is a wide open hotspot. No encryption. I have set my MacBook Pro down 2 inches from it and I connect just fine. It seems to just be an issue with that wireless card. I had the person’s friends bring their laptops over and they connected just fine. They all had other cards like linksys and netgear cards.
I am running 2.9.46. I have made sure that “Propriatary Entensions” are set to post-2.9.25.
No dice. It will intermittantly pick up an IP, but after that it just goes back to not passing data. I have set a static IP on the unit and no dice. It will connect just fine to the neighbors Linksys router. It just won’t get an IP or pass any data from the Mikrotik.
Any ideas??
