problem in re-installing the software in the routerboard1100

hi,
i am trying to re-install the software on the routerboard 1100 as i forgot my password. while re-installing using netinstall. i have a message saying check ethernet cable in the hyperterminal where i am booting the device. i dont get the router name on the net install.. wat do i do..???

yes it is.. but still the same error message

i tried to plug in the ethernet cable on the eth13 which said pde/boot
wen i did this
i got a msg saying
trying bootp protocol…

then goes to the main menu.
wat should i do..?? pls help.

What do you mean by “main menu”? Do you still get any error messages?

now i got that as i had been using the eth cable to another device.
now i got the ip address and mac address on the hyperterminal
but i am not getting the list on the net install..??? wat to do..???

i am not getting the list on the net install application..
but the hyperterminal now provides with the info of the mac address and ip address.
