Problem in resetting WSap ac lite

Hi!

I just got a new WSap ac lite and changed its default IP to a one from my local network. After rebooting it stopped being accessable, so I decided to reset it to factory defaults and see whether I did everything all right.

But pushing a reset button, powering the AP up and waiting for the ACT light to start blinking does not do anything, at least a configuration does not return to default state. Googling the topic showd that reset procedure described in the manual does not seem to always work.

How do I reset the device?

New, but old stock AFAIK it is discontinued.

The procedure you are following is correct, maybe there is some timing issues.

In theory:

it should be between 5 and 9 seconds for reset, 10 to 14 for CAP, 15+ for netinstall.

You can try using the main bootloader, Mikrotik devices have two of them:

  1. backup bootloader, accessed pressing the reset button (and keeping it pressed) BEFORE applying power
  2. main bootloader, accessed pressing the reset button (and keeping it pressed) IMMEDIATELY AFTER applying power

Try a few times, if you don't succeed unfortunately the only way out is netinstall.
