Problem installing the router software

I am trying to install the router software to a PC.
I burned the CD but on booting it complained it couldn’t find the HDD.
So I used the Netinstall option which worked fine found the PC installed the software. On reboot I don’t get any logon prompt on the console it starts booting up into the OS then displays 1/3 screen of 0x or somthing and then just hands wijth no prompt etc.

Any ideas. Is there a prefered set of hardware I need to use. Its as PIII 800Mhz Viglen PC with IDE HDD. Are there any Bios setting I need to check. Did I miss somthing.

Any help appricaited as this look like a good product I’d like to have a go with.

Regards
Rob

I guess it did not install completely using the Netinstall.

Try using the Floppy Disk maker. It will only take about 8 (eight) disketts. I used that and it works very ok.

Try that and get back to us ok.

Thanks for the input but no joy. I’ve now tried the network and floppy install and the install looks fine but at boot time I just get this screen with

L 01 01 01 01 01 01

Where the 01’s fill about 7 lines and nothing else happens. I just guess there is a hardware compatablity issue. I’ll try to get hold of a different motherboard etc and see where I get from there. Unless anyone has other ideas. Any suggestions on motherboards and hardware makeups which are known to work.

I recall this issue and searched the archives:
in bios is it in lba mode?
is quick boot disabled?
is the harddrive set to primary master?
