Problem NetInstall Trying to Install ROS to CF For WRAP2

Hello Group…

I have been following a couple forum posts for installing ROS onto CF for WRAP2 Boards:
http://www.quest4.org/etc/routeros-wrap.htm
http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/install-mikrotik-on-wrap-2e-via-netinstall/11656/4

To begin with I am using an XP laptop which has a CF Read/Write drive built-in.

In following the instructions on the first of the two links above once I open NetInstall and direct it to the localized installation files I see all of the file for the x86 package.
There are no CHECKBOXES to the left of any of the packages only what appears to be a bag “package”?

Anyhow if I select the “System” package then select the drive to install to all of the packages vanish from the Packages list, what’s weird is I have to close NetInstall and re-open it to make the Packages re-appear.

Has anyone run into this problem or maybe you know what the problem is I would appreciate input as I have tried this numerous times to all be met in failure to install ROS onto a CF.

Thanking you in advance for your help with this.

Best Regards

You need to first select the target drive for the installation in the top-left window, and THEN browse for the packages with the browse button

Thank you very much for the reply normis…

I just tried selecting the target drive first as suggested then browse for the x86 package.
No files are displayed though even after I point NetInstall to the file location

So if I press Install NetInstall complains that I have not selected no packages…

Thanking you in advance for your further help.

Best Regards

Thank you for the reply Chupaka…

I have been trying to finalize the installation of ROS onto the WRAP 2 board, but seem to be having problem…

The present settings on the WRAP board are:

*9* 9600 baud (3) 38400 baud (5) 57600 baud
(C) CHS mode *L* LBA mode
(E) Etherboot enable
(U) USB enable
(D) Conservative DRAM timing
*R* Serial console enable
(X) Xmodem upload (Q) Quit

After making the above changes to the WRAP board and also setting my terminal to 9600 8-N-1 I then power cycle the board and it only displays the following never going onto the:
Welcome to MikroTik Router Software hard disk installation
Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to abort

130048 KB Extended Memory

01F0 Master 848A SanDisk SDCFB-64
Phys C/H/S 490/8/32 Log C/H/S 62/32/63

I feel I am missing something here quite possibly, could someone help to shed a little light on this subject for me?

Thank you

Best Regards
