Hello everybody.
scenario.
When we worked with small links, 512Kb, 1Mb throughput did not have problems with the client, they were always achieved.
Nowadays we have links 512Kb, 1Mb, 4Mb and 8Mb, but many fail to use your link completely. For example. clients 4Mb get 2.8 Mb with a 20 to 30 ms latency.
After reading and researching a solution of my problem, concluding that the problem was in the queue.
By default PPPoE connections used type default-small queue which releases 10 packets per queue.
To increase to 50 packets per queue, solved my problem. Has anyone had this problem?
I see that my problem may go back as there is increasing demand for faster links.
Noting this, I can work with the priorities and sizes of packets per queue and creating new types of queue.
Would be suitable I have the following priority settings and package quantity?
512kb → Priority 8 → 10 packets
1Mb → Priority 7 → 20 Packets
4 Mb → Priority 6 → 40 packets
8mb → priority 5 → 60 packets
Thank you.
