Problem: Same mac address reserving more than one IP

Hello guys,

Forgive me I am new to Mikrotik but I am facing a problem with our network at work. We have 4 hapLite connected to a Routerboard 750GL. The hapLite are provinding wireless connection while the routerboard is responsible for the DHCP. But the problem is that when I do IP Scan, I find that there are some mac addresses which have more than one IP.

Is this normal? If not, then could it be affecting our internet connection because we keep on disconnecting every while?

Your advice is more than valuable.

This can be expected when there’s a device with proxy-arp enabled. It will answer with own MAC address to queries for all of its “clients”.

Look on the 750 log, and see if there is some log of loop.
Probably it’s a loop.

If you can send us a Export of all routers and a diagram how it’s done we can help you more. :smiley:
