problem setting the AP-Bridge band...

Hello again…

How can i turn the band form 2.4 ghz -b to 2.4 ghz -b/g ?

When i try to do it via Winbox or via telnet, MKTK show me an error message… ( like “scan-list does not detect any supported channel” or something like that )…

And the true is that when i make a survey, at least in my area, there are only 2.4Ghz / B band based AP`s…( That is what is showing me the scan list )

I remember that the first time i install mikrotik, without any signal, and inside my house, i easily set the band to 2.4 ghz - b/g. For some reason that i can remember right now, one day i put the mktk band only to B to make some tests. Now that i have the node on the floor and working, I cannot set the band back to B/G.

I have a low potency PCI card ( just 30 mW in B Band ), thats why i need to set the AP-Bridge band back to 2.4 ghz -b/g so i can get a little more power from the AR5212 atheros card ( In the b/g band i can get 52 mW ).

Can anyone help me ?

Best regards…

hm thats a little bit strange usualy card that work in B standard have more output power than in G standard. Check if you maybe somehow changed channel frequency that is not in the regulatory frequency range and check all your setting on wifi interface or maybe jusat reset the MT.

P.S. The wifi card you talking about that worked in B/G mode is the same card you have now??
