Problem to call with skype

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with the audio from Skype calls to landlines in italy and europe.

When I make a call I hear the person very well, while she feels after a delay of more than 5 seconds and I feel disturbed.

Skype to Skype calls are hear regularly.

I tried to set the wiki layer7 on firewall recommended but not take any package.

I am currently using port 80 and the traffic on this port is very little, so I do not understand why I feel so bad

what kind of information you need to be more precise?

this can be for 2 reasons :
first of all you need to know that skype don’t work properly when QoS Packet Scheduler is on , on your computer
second thing is , try to enable UPnP :slight_smile: then It’ll most probably work

I explain the situation better hours of my network, I have a subscriber with firewall mangle and nat rules.
The rules skypetoskipe mark packages and works well.
while the rule of mangle of skype-out “layer7” fails to mark packets.
My question was whether there is a more efficient layer7 or another system for mark packets destined to landlines?

Skype traffic is very tricky, while layer7 works at one condition, it could not work in another.
Try to give skype hosts public IP address directly or at least use UPnP or static NAT rules to forward skype traffic.
If it does not help, look for help in skype forum, it will provide you with more troubleshooting.

Ok! for now i can try to use this layer7 http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/qos-skype/40936/1 and the call is significantly improved!

in any case I will submit the question in the skype forums.
If I find a solution, will post the reply in the forum so who is in the same situation will have an answer.
