Hello everyone
I have CSS326 switch and I have 10 AirFiber with different vlans, Vlans are go to core router CCR1072 via SP+ everything is ok but if one of the ethernet is increase from 1G to 100MB all of the ethernets is 100Mb or some one are 100Mb.
This is very important for us because all traffics from this Switch go to main router.
As with all modern switches, each port negotiates its own speed, without affecting the others.
So you can have mixed 10M/100M/1G (and 10G via SFP+ which also connects directly to the switch chip).
More than likely an issue with the POE’s that supply the airfibres or the network cabling. One ethernet speed on the CRS would not affect the other. Unless the master port goes from 1Gbs to 100Mbps then all would be affected - as that is the uplink port.
Yes ofcurce each porrt is not effective on the other port just master port ca to be that.
but my master port is a SFP+ and every time has 10G speed but my Airfibers some times are change to 100M however this Airfibers and his cables and POEs are worked on ther CRS switch without problem.
I uncheck the flowcontrol from every ports on the switch but my problem still yet and when change the speed from 1G to 100M others ports decrease traffic from 500M to ~200 - 150 MB.
I have a other CCR 1036-8G2S+ and make all ports bridge when all Airfibers and SPF+ uplink connect to this bridge router they are work fine and when on of the Airfibers change speed to 100M others ports has no problem and work fine.
Is it posible this problem from trunk link?
I dont make any configuration about make a trunk link for SFP+ in CSS switch.
How to make a Trunk SFP+ and each ethernet ports are access port?
I make vlan interfaces on CCR1072 SFP+6 and connect this port to CSS326 SFP+1 and connect the Airfibers to CSS ethernets.
In CSS326 all ports hase default configuration for vlan. I should to be change the vlan configuration for Trunk port like as SPF+1 and each ethernet ports?
Please adviseme to config the vlans for CSS326 ports
Thank you
Resuming a 1year old tread. I am facing a similar problem in different environment with a 1072 and a CRS317-1G-16S+RM. I believe the issue is related to the lack of enough buffer in the switch for the 10G->1G ethernet backpressure. This can be verified by setting for test purpose the trunk port to 1G and see that tcp single session throughput will raise consistently. A queue for each vlan also improves slightly the situation but does not definitively solve the issue.
In this situation a 1016-12S-1S+ will perform way better than the 317. I haven’t found a good solution myself to this but if somebody has some suggestion I am available to share tests.
