Problem upgrading license. Help Please.

Hi, I have a ROS with 2.9.5 LEVEL 5 and license expired july’07

I import to it a LEVEL 4 license Key, generated for its software ID.

Now this Routerboard isn’t working. Whats the problem and how can I make it work? It’s a remote routerboard. 500 KM away.

If you can’t access it anymore, then you have no choice but to get someone to look at it’s serial port output …

I send now my costumer with winbox.

He should have access to the ROS in ether1?

my costumer can enter via Winbox but all is misconfigured.

License is like this:

Expires at ago-2008
and now is LEVEL 4

And seems to be ok.

With the upgrade I pass from L5 to L4. But we can’t change mode from station to AP-bridge.

Can you help me with next thing to do to make it work?

please type the following in the Terminal inside winbox:

/interface wireless set wlan1 mode=ap-bridge




/interface wireless print

if it’s still in station mode, click on Log to see what it says about this.
Afterwards I suggest to upgrade to 2.9.51 or 3.6 to avoid any problems that might have been in this verion you have

Hi,

as equipement is miles and miles away, I sent my costumer a new AP with ROS 3.5 working.

Now the AP with license problems is coming to my office.

More info about this license problems:

If we put AP-bridge this is the Message error:

And this is the actual license (Note that old license was Level5 and was expired july '07):

I can’t make commands in telnet because I have no access to the AP. My costumer takes these captures making it with winbox. I think its the same.
Now we have 1 new L4 license and 1 new L5 license for this ROS. If we put the L4 license we get these errors (attachments) and if we put L5 license we get L0…

you have a really old RouterOS version, maybe there is a problem with it. It’s hard to say. You need to get remote access, or reinstall it with Netinstall 3.6

Hi!

I will reinstall RouterOS when I have the AP physically here. It’s coming.

Now I have 2 licenses for the same machine. One L4 and one L5. How can I change This L5 for another machine? It is possible? I bought it to try to solve my problem but..

I will continue the post when I reinstall the ROS.
