Problem with 2 SXT's and Ptp Bridge

Hi,
i used this How-To to setup my two SXT’s: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Transparently_Bridge_two_Networks_using_MPLS
The Link is working fine, but i’m able to connect just one device at the other end. When i try to connect more devices i can’t receive ip addresses from my DHCP Server on te other side.
Can someone tell me what i’m doing wrong?

greets

Sven

Try using DHCP Relay in winbox go to Ip → Dhcp Relay. Add a new server and put in your dhcp servers ip.

or in terminal

ip dhcp-relay add dhcp-server=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Replace X’s with your dhcp servers address.

I will try this but i think it’s something else. Because with the first client i get an address. when i asign static ips i can’t get access to the network. I have to reboot the SXT to use a new device. So i think it must be a MAC address issue.

what protocol are you running, 802.11 nstreme or nv2?

if thats the case something else is definately up

yes…yes… yes…

i am stuck in a similar problem… posted http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/issue-connecting-sxt-with-e900/64615/6 but i have not recvd. any reply

could you please tell me if your problem got solved?? and if yes what did you do?

Try to use WDS.

At first retune on the STA side:
– Mode: ‘station wds’

At next retune on the AP side:
– remove wireless card from the bridge
– WDS mode: ‘dynamic’
– WDS default bridge: ‘’

It’s works fine for me.

tried using it…

when connected to the laptop directly it works fine.

but when connected through the switch ( D-Link DES-1024A ) the same laptop just gets stuck at “identifying” and does not get a IP…

i have level 3 license… no AP.

today later in the day i changed the bridge to transparent MPLS as told on Mikrotik Wiki… but still no luck…

is this not funny…

i replaced the cable and everything started working just fine…

how come the first cable was working only for a single machine and failed to work when plugged into a switch??

and now replacing the cable it has started to working perfectly even in a switch?
