Problem with 3.0 RC3 version - it hangs

I try RC3 version and after time (15min - 3 hours) my router was break down ! I can’t ping it. I try it on 2 PC - whitch work ok with ver. 2.9.xx with same configuration !
I uninstalled Dude and calea package because it hang my MT pernamently !
My router hang again! It’s unstable!

Plase help me.

I had the same problem recently with a critical access point, upgraded to RC4 and its been fine since. It appears to have also “fixed” those pesky “…extensive data loss” issues.

Regards

Ok. I upgrade it now to rc4 :astonished:)

I update to RC4 - same problems !
My CPU was hangs up with 100% CPU load !

Try a reset-configuration.
Then re-configure your router from the ground up.

This should get you back up and running.

Uf. It’s hard work, but I try it.

I update to RC4 - and …
extensive data loss :frowning: :frowning:
extensive data loss :frowning: again

buuuuu :frowning:

Way !?!

I put new configuration - manualy (not import) - still problem with 100% CPU usage !

Please, repair this important bug!
Why mikrotik doesn’t have resource monitor by packages?
I need see how many memory, cpu take some packages, for example:
CPU MEM
dude 10% 1250kb
dhcp 1% 200kb
system 25% 125kb

This monitoring may resolve many broblems, I think so.

What are you using as a router? PC, RB532, etc?

No I try RB133 and PC with 2GHz Celeron.
I have same problem with both platforms.

I think I told in one of the topics, that when you have a dude package after the reboot it loads all the snmp mibs and that could take few minutes - cpu 100% you should wait few minutes.

I wrote (top), that I don’t use dude and calea package!

I disabled this packages! But this issue don’t resolve my problem.

check your hardware, i am running RC4 on different hardware and have no problems with 100% CPu even on RB112

My HW is OK :astonished:) When I red this forum, many peoples has same problem. I try RC4 on:

3x PC
1x RB133

on 2.9.xx version on some HW - no problem !!!

so, to repeat your problem all i have to do is to install rc4 on a box?

even on clean install your box stays 100% cpu? (if you can, save backup (2 copies) do system reset-configuration and see what happens

I’m seeing this problem but it only happens after I login to the router via SSH or at the console. I can quick jump into resources and it sits at 2-5% then after another command or 2, it shoots to 100% (can tell because my typing is very slow). The commands are just print or monitor commands, no config changes. I’m seeing this in RC4 aswell.

This appears to be a problem with the system formatting your proxy drive regardless whether the proxy is enabled or disabled. I let mine go for about an hour and now its fine. I had a second 20gb drive for proxy attached to the system though.

I don’t use web proxy and I use Flash drive as my system and boot medium.
I return my stable 2.9.xx versions.

3.xx version is it not stable today !
I try something for resolve this problem. I didn’t resolve it.

I am wait for new RC5 or 3.0 stable final version.

:astonished:) I think so. It’s slow, unstable !

if neither of you have submitted tickets to support with supouts then don’t complain that it’s not fixed in rc5. thank you.
