I have a network of 4 RB-751s and I upgraded them all last week to 5.21. They were previously on 5.14. Since the upgrade I’m getting complaints from all the wireless clients that they are dropping connection multiple times throughout the day. One guy said it is happening as often as every 15 minutes or so.
All of these are on the same SSID on different frequencies spaced about 2 channels away on each of them.
I just tried creating a virtual AP on one of the departments and had one of the troubled clients connect to that virtual AP in order to get his computer to stay with that AP to see if that clears it up for him. I have a suspicion that the clients are hopping between APs.
I’m confused why this never happened before though and now after the upgrade I’m having problems.
Any insight would be appreciated.
