I have a problem with a routerBoard 44.
It have four ethernet interfaces, and the first two work fine, but the others don´t work propely. It have link, but if i try to connect by tcp or icmp it don´t work.
I don´t kwonw what more test can i do, or if i have to contact with support.
Im just constructing this router - it’s not in service yet - so the hardware on the other side is a little 8-port Cisco switch. I’ve tested the non-working port on the routerboard44 with the same cable and switch port as the working ones.
One question - does the RouterOS have an ethernet interface limit? The chassis I’m building this on does have two integrated NIC ports on the motherboard (both of which recognize fine) but one port on the routerboard doesn’t link up…
I switched to a different motherboard and all the test RouterBoard 44s I had previously had problems with worked great - Im guessing it was an IRQ conflict or some other hardware problem with that particular board.
You might be able to get around your problem by disabling onboard audio, parallel port, extra com ports/usb, and anything else that needs IRQs from the BIOS.
