Is it possible to make a backup from an RB433AH and restore to a different routerboard eg RB2011?
I tried this and my RB 2011 has a problem, I can’t log in to it and cannot even pick up any IP or MAC address to connect using winbox. When I powercyle the router, there is no beeps to signify firmware and routeros loading as is normal with Mikrotik boot process.
How can I fix this? I tried resetting but still get same issue.
Do not use the backup on other than original device. For configuration transport use export and import. If the device doesn’t respond, make reset. If it doesn’t help, try netinstall.
Thanks. I managed to do reset and the interfaces were all swapped so I put my IP in the 192.168.88.0/24 range and tested the interfaces by running a continuous ping to 192.168.88.1 while plugging a cable into each of the interfaces on the router.
