problem with band limition plz plz plz help

dear all
i have mikrotik RouterOs my problem is if i limit a user with any band from the hotspot user profile or from the simple queues i got ping time on my geteway 1.100.100.1 too hight it is reach 4000 ms if the user did any traffic while user without traffic ping time is <1 ms
if i leave users without limit everything gonna be ok
any one can help my?plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

please correct if wrong

make sure your user ip which will you limit correct on target if you use simple queue, don’t leave blank on target

Ping is also traffic.
If client is reaching it’s queue limit, ping will climb up sky-high.
Have your client test your network on idle on his side.

yap if the Clint is idle the ping time is <1 ms but if the Clint do any traffic like browsing or download any thing the time reach the sky 4000 ms

do a export from /queue
/queue export
also do a /ip address export
( erase first bites if you feel more confortable.)

This is important.
This is a simple queue, right ?
Also, when his ping time is high, is the queue maximized, or it is as you said: “any kind of traffic” ( meaning 10 kb from 100 kb queue ? )
If the queue is not at max and ping is still high, change his network card and give it a test. Also try your laptop. If it’s fine, check for viruses or alike.

You might also want to see the graphs and see what kind of behavior your client has. (enable graphing for simple queues.)
