Hi All,
We have the following setup at our offices.
R1-R6 RB433’s all with Wlan
R2-R6 EoIP Tunnel to R1 over ethernet as they are on seperate subnets
R2-R6 Wlan and EoIP in a bridge
R1 Dhcp server assigning 10.20.43.x addresses
R1 masquerade rule to allow traffic out on ether1 (10.20.40.7)
R1 Wlan and Eoip’s in Bridge with IP assigned to bridge interface
Currently this works 100% for laptop users. However we are running VoIP for our WiFi enabled phones, and we end up with one way calls.
I’m sure this is a NAT issue, and have tried the following.
Removed DHCP, and masquerade rule from R1. Added ether1 to bridge on R1. so clients should now get a 10.20.40.x IP from our main DHCP server.
Problem now is that all communication to R1 is lost. You can still connect to R1 using the MAC address in WinBox.
Ping results show lots of packet loss with intermittent reply’s from R1.
Any ideas what I have done wrong or am missing?
Thanks
Brian
