Problem with CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS and SFP+ module

Hi all, I have a CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS device and TP-Link SM5310-T SFP+ module but It doesn't work.

With auto-negotiation I doesn't have link:

And without auto-negotiation I have link but no IP by DHCP. If I put the IP manually It doesn't have connection:

I tried forced speed with 1G-baseT-full but the problem persist. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for all, kind regards.

SM5310-T SFP+ is a 10Gbit module. So you should set it to 10Gbit, not 1Gbit.

Thanks for response but when I forced the speed to 10G-BaseT, 10G-BaseSR-LR or 10G-BaseCR there isn't link in the interface.

The CCR is connected to a unmanaged gigabit switch.

I tried with another module and Its working. I force speed to 1G and the DHCP client get IP of the network.

Thanks for all, kind regards.

You cannot blindly assume that a 10Gbit module can be set to 1Gbit and then make connection to a 1Gbit module at the other end. Some can do that, but others (probably most) cannot.

I think you misunderstood. I'm use the SFP+ port of the CCR with the TP-Link SFP+ transceiver to connect with a ethernet cable to unmanaged gigabit switch, not a SFP module.

It's work fine with other module, same model. I have link and DHCP client get IP of the network.

Kind regards.
