Problem with CPE mode after upgrade to 6.35.x

Hi,

I am new to the forum and new to MikroTik, please let me know when I post something that is against forum rules and I will adjust my post.

I have purchased a RouterBOARD hap ac lite to use as a CPE with the wireless ISP at my home.
The first attempt to get this working all was fine, worked like a charm.
In the Quickset screen I selected CPE, connected the 2.4GHz radio to the ISP and I created an inside SSID on the 5GHz radio.

This was a very nice first experience with MikroTik/RouterOS.
That is, until I updated RouterOS…
The version of RouterOS that came with my router is 6.30.x, I upgraded to 6.35.x.
After the upgrade the CPE mode doesn’t work like it did before.
My settings were gone after the upgrade and when I try to setup CPE mode the RouterBOARD wants to connect to the 2.4GHz ISP signal by using the 5GHz radio and it disabled the 2.4GHz radio.
When I manually assign the 2.4GHz radio to the ISP by putting it in “station” mode and connecting it to the ISP signal I do not get an IP address.

I have tried numerous resets to factory default but it seems that only takes the RouterBOARD out of CPE mode and as soon as I set it back to CPE mode the broken settings are back and I cannot connect to the RouterBOARD anymore.
As a RouterOS/MikroTik newbie I am now kinda stuck and decided to ask for help on the forum.
I hope you can help me or give me some good pointers, any help is much appreciated!

With kind regards,

Marcel

Probably some settings have changed, there could be change in wireless package type also. Try the wireless-rep package and make full reset. And note such device with small gain internal omnidirectional antenna is not appropriate to be the wireless client in such role.
