I installed the dude 3.6 on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I added all mikrotik device to monitoring but I have this problem: The ping probe and only the ping doesn’t work. If I open a windows terminal and launch manual ping it run correctly. If i try to run ping in the dude I receive the message “local problem”.
Why ?
Does the firewall allow The Dude service to have full access?
Seems the most likely cause, that or an antivirus blocking its access.
I solved disabling UAC … thanks
omega - i’m trying to use ping function in appearance (to display the ping value for each device) - but i need to ping a remote device via an agent rather than default .. how?? thanks
Install the dude server to a remove machine or mikrotik, set it up with an admin username and password then add this as an agent to your local dude server via the settings → agents tab.
Then on your devices, on the top right hand corner of the settings page there’s a dropdown box with the available probe agents.
