problem with factory reset and default password

Hi , I have an old router board , RB411 ah which is off-duty. after some time I wanted to give it to my friend but I couldn’t find its IP . even winbox didn’t show its mac address when I press […] button at the top.

so I did a factory reset on it using the s301 button and also tried holding an screwdriver on the reset location as the guide on resetting the password showed.

like that picture there is both the reset location ( Copper jumper on board ) , and the white s301 reset button on this board.

anyways I have tried both of them , I held the s301 button and plugged-in the power. after some seconds released the button and also tried the same way with an screw driver on that jumper. and seems that device is now returned to factory defaults.as winbox now shows the mac address , and also 0.0.0.0 for the ip.

but when I want to login to the device using mac address from winbox , I use admin/admin , or admin/blank ( no password ) , it gives error “wrong username or password”. what should I do ?

Did anyone every answer this? I have the same problem.

In fact winbox says the ip on the router is now 10.255.255.2 after a factory default reset

This looks like it has been NetInstalled with a config script - this script will then be the factory defaults after resetting it to.
Try to NetInstall it and it should work as expected again.

i think your router interface may be char ( half born )
try to connect to router with on other interface.
