Problem with haP AC

Hi,

Recently I have bought an mikrotik RouterBOARD 962UiGS-5HacT2Hn . From the begining I have problem with it. I have configured it using Quick Set. It is disconnecting devices or simply work very, very slow or sometimes I can’t connect at all.
Right now I’m siting about 2,5 m from AP and I’m trining to troubleshoot what is wrong (see the attachment).

I have already upgraded to a newest version: RouterOS v6.40.5 (stable).
Can anyone help me with it ?

Such statement should provide some evidence…
I disagree. Really.
I had some asus devices in the past and these days there is nothing better for me than mikrotik.

How about reviewing the following parameters of /interface wireless?

distance (integer | dynamic | indoors; Default: dynamic)
adaptive-noise-immunity (ap-and-client-mode | client-mode | none; Default: none)

After that, are

country

and

frequency-mode

properly set up?

I have 5 of these RB962 devices running as AP, they work great, wireless coverage is fine, handling 200-300 clients simultaniously without problems.

Normally the device should work perfectly with factory config. Try a reset, or quickSet “home dual” again. With factory config, you could provide Wireless Debug logs and Registration table print

Thanks for the answer. I have tried my own 3 configs  After all of them I was reseting device to factory. Now is 4th - default one using Quick Set.

Today tests. On laptop is working decently fine (it depends where I sit  ) but on smartphones it is disaster  wireless I was siting arround 10 - 11m from AP two walls (hollow brick), closer means 5-6m one wall (hollow brick).

I have a hope that shop, where I bought this router, will take it back and give me money back.

P.S. Where is the second post from this discussion ?

Try a channel other than 1 (6 or 11)
There may be rf interference that will not show
Wireless Snooper may give you more insight

-73 respective -85 dBm receive levels are quite low. This explains the issues you got there.

On old tplink -78 -80 and the connection was stable, but slow.

Now I can use wireless only in two rooms. For other rooms I should but one mikrotik per room ?:))

A. Try to WiFi lower power … high power does not mean better quality
B. Try to disbale 802.11b standard … leave just g/n
