problem with mikrotik hotspot

using a Hexlite RB750r2 @ 6.32.1

Ether1 = WAN = Dsl router = dhcp ip assigned by ISP
Ether2 = LAN = 10.0.0.1 = connected to 16 port switch = PC’s and Access Points are connected here
Ether3 =
Ether4 =
Ether5 =

10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.10 = LAN = also setup to bypass in Ip Bindings
10.0.0.100 = 10.0.0.200 = DHCP pool for Hotspot
Hotspot Interface = Ether2
Hotspot IP = 10.0.0.1

setup is correct right ? hotspot interface and ip can be set the same as the LAN interface and IP ?

it doesn’t work on my setup , when i connected thru one of the access points , i get the usual need to sign in stuff , after inputting the user name and password and logging on , i get stuck in the page redirecting page.. i though it was only problem with the page.. but there were no internet access.. i’m connected to AP but that’s it

It sounds like the login isn’t being processed.

When you enter your credentials, does your login appear in the hotspot > hosts list? (or maybe it’s active users, I don’t have a Mikrotik in front of me right now)

It seems like your login request is being intercepted by the hotspot and not recognized as a login attempt, thus the login attempt is being redirected to the login screen.
