Problem with Mikrotik L2TP CLient

Hello all!
I have Windows 2008R2 L2TP+IPSec(pre-shared key) VPN server in remote office and i need to connect from home to this server using mikrotik(RB951G).
I read many manuals in internet how to make this connection, and tryed to configure my mikrotik router, but router can`t connecting to L2TP server. Server is running good and i can connect to this server from local network from computers with Win XP, 7 and android phone, but mikrotik router not connecting. Can anybody help me to configure my router to connect to this Win 2008 server?

And sorry for my bad english

The firewall probaby blocks the connection.
UDP 500,1701,4500 needs to be configured in the firewall

Thanks for answer! Ports are already opened. Firewall not blocking L2TP traffic. Trouble not in firewall.

Hi,

I have same issue, I can not connect my mikrotik to windows 2008 server r2 L2TP/IPSEC server. Hope mikrotik support guys help us regarding this issue if possible or not.

Enable IPSec debug logging in MikroTik and read error messages in log on MikroTik and Win Server.

I’m trying to use Mikrotik routerboard as a L2TP client to a l2tp server. But I haven’t been able to connect to it. when I add the L2TP client and the IPSEC config, it says “connecting…” but it doesn’t even check for username password… I had similar issue when I wanted to use windows as a L2TP client, but it got fixed with a registry tweak I found at Microsoft.com . So with the same Internet connection I can connect to the VPN with windows, but can’t connect to it when I use my Mikrotik routerboard (RB751U).

I attached the logs

I have the same problem with RB951.I tried to make the connection with L2TP/IPSec in Router OS again and again…… :open_mouth: I used the windows server 2008 r2 system too.

I have this problem too
Does this issue has been solved ?
