Problem with network

Hi guys,

Lately i have notice some problem with network, i work for company which has around 25 PC, 8 laptops, 3 servers, 3 printers, 30-40 wifi connected devices, and we are facting problems with internet last two weeks.

Internet map is like this:
Optic fiber > Mikrotik hap > Switch 1 (Tp-link) > Switch 2 (Tp-link) > Switch 3 (Tenda)

What is problem?
I have timeout-s when i try to ping my gateway (192.168.1.1), so internet doesn’t work with cable, with some of laptops/phones i can connect on my wifi (wifi radio by mikrotik hap) but there is not internet.

What i have tried?

  1. Checked if there is any problem with any of my switch-s
  2. Checked for any loop on network
    ^ Still No luck

I have created new network 192.168.2.1 (with Linksys router) and internet works fine for laptops/phones which cant use internet with mikrotiks wifi radio.

What should i do?
How can i identify where is the problem? maybe my Mikrotik hap is not working anymore?
If so, im planning to get new mikrotik router switch to fix this problem.

I hope some can help me.

  1. Unplug all switches and check if you have wire connection from Mikrotik
  2. Connect one switch and check if it works.
  3. Connect next one … and so on
  4. Try to swap order of switches.
  5. Do you have 40 devices connected to one AP ?
  6. Post your Mikrotik configuration

Hi BartoszP,

  1. I have only 1 cable from mikrotik to switch 1, then switch 1 to switch 2, S2 > S3
  2. I tried with only switch 1, 2 or 3 but still i have problems
  3. I did
  4. Yeah, all of em are connected to one AP
  5. I attached mikrotik config (it is on .rar cause i wasnt able to upload .back file)

Use export command from CLI to export your configuration. Backup file is unusable for us.

This problem happens time to time with cable, but i have some laptops which are connected with my wifi name but there is not internet at all.
