Do you know the settings for the internet connection? maybe you can find them in your old router.
E.g. does it use DHCP, PPPoE, maybe some VLAN, etc.

not sure if anyone is following this, but this might be useful to someone in a similar position.

I learned that I need VLAN settings. A call to the provider revealed that VLAN ID is 33 in my case.
Created a VLAN interface with this ID, no luck yet.

before that I experimented with id 37, maybe someone can tell me what doesn’t feel right on the screen below:

Did you assign the dhcp-client under the vlan interface so that you get a public IP?
