Problem with Routerboard 14

Hi all,

I own two Routerboard 14 (PCI to 4 x MiniPCI) adapters and I have a very peculiar problem with both of them.
Both cards are inserted onto a micro-ATX board (have tried it with asus a7s8x-mx and asrock k7s41gx to same end) and three mini-pci slots per adapter card are filled out with CM9 wlan cards.

I have noticed that under MikroTik v2.9.6 all cards are available but only two of them per adapter cards are really functional. The third card can scan but it does not transmit. It is not scannable as AP and it can not connect as client.

Depending on how the cards are positioned it will be a different card displaying the aforementioned behaviour. Now, if I position four cards on each adapter then again two of them will function fully a third will operate with limited throughput and a fourth will not be able to scan but not connect. As AP it is not even scannable from its neighbouring cards.

It is noted that the described behaviour applies to both of my Routerboard adapters. In addition, colleagues of mine that are using the Routerboard 14 adapter have also expressed similar problems with them.

Does this description ring any bells to you? Could it be an incompatibility with the boards? Has anyone ever described a similar behaviour? Could you suggest a mainaboard that is guarantied to work with the Routerboard 14 card adapters?

Thanks in advance
