Problem with Update license Key

I upgraded RouterOS from 3.30 to 4.14 version and need upgrade key from 7 symbol to 8 symbol. RouterOS was instled on PC and have internet connection over NAT on another Mikrotik. I have problem on PC:
License updating: failed: The action must be retried

make sure your Winbox PC has access to mikrotik.com. And turn off any proxy servers, hotspots and firewalls that could be in the way.

I have a Routerboard 493 that I’m trying to get upgraded. I upgraded it from v3.x to v4.17, the firmware is current at v2.29. When I go to System → License and click the Update License Key button it immediatly says “failed: The action must be retried”. I retry with the same result.

I have no firewall rules in place (I’m using a public IP address wide-open on the Internet), and the routerboard successfully resolves and pings mikrotik.com. What’s wrong?

the process is done from your PC, not routerboard. check if that PC can resolve and ping mikrotik.com as well

I have a linktech powerrouter running RouterOS. The license was upgrade to 6 on router os 3.18.

I upgraded to 4.17 and i get a prompt to update from symbol 7 to symbol 8.

When I push the update key I get this “License updating: failed this key is upgraded and changed software ID”

Can anyone help? 71hrs…

It means you have already done this process in the past, and then downgraded to an old version for some reason. send your supout.rif file to support
