Problem with VirtualAP configuration

I know this has been covered in the past, and I’ve gone through this forum and Googled for the problem, but I can’t seem to resolve it. I’ve configured two Ethernet VLANs (VLAN91 and VLAN92) under ether1, and I can ping them from our router. I’ve also configured two VirtualAPs (VAP91 and VAP92), and I’ve bridged these to VLAN91 and VLAN92. The problem is that I can get wlan1 on one radio to associate with another radio; however, VAP91 and VAP92 never associate with the other radio. If I go into the bridge configuration of one radio, the Role is blank. In the other radio, though, it shows disabled. The interface information is also italicized for VAP91/92.

I’ve read not to bridge the primary interfaces, e.g. ether1 and wlan1, but I’ve tried this both with and without bridging these interfaces, even with a reboot between the attempts. No luck.

I’d appreciate any thoughts on what I might try.

Thank you.

I’ve made a little progress. I enabled dynamic WDS, and the remote radio registers wirelessly, but I’m not able to pass traffic over the link.

I finally figured it out. When the VAP interface was created and WDS configured as dynamic, a WDS interface was also created. This WDS interface needed to be added to the bridge group as the VAP and Ethernet interfaces. The wireless now passes traffic.
