Problem with winbox.

Hi,

I’m having problems accessing the router through winbox. I have configured a ip for port ethern3, and it is set to active. I have changed the network card to use a manual ip with in the range of the router. However I do not find the router when using the windbox software. What am I doing wrong?

  1. Make sure Windows firewall does not block Winbox application.

  2. Try to type IP address (MAC-address) of the router manually to “Connect To” window of Winbox.

Thank you for your answer, I get a message stating " could not connect to “bla bla bla” (port 20561) - timed out!

can you ping the same IP from the Windows computer you are using?
