I have the same problem with some Routerboard 2011(mipsbe)/3011(arm) here.
After updating from v6.46.6 to v6.49 - on first boot everything is ok, but after reboot the firmware is gone:
....
loading kernel... OK
setting up elf image... not an elf header
kernel loading failed
...
The solution is to reinstall v6.49 via netinstall. Or just update only to v6.48.3.
Inspired by reddit (“ancient hardware and router os version”) I can reproduce the problem
when upgrading from v.6.39.3 to v6.49 on RB 2011/3011 in 100% of cases. The update to v.6.48.3 is not affected.
Does anyone have any idea?
