Problems connecting using PPPOE Client

I’m having some trouble getting the PPPOE client to work.
We have a fiber optic connection to our ISP, they provided a media converter and a consumer router / wireless access point.
The device they supplied is a Zyxel P320W, the Zyxel connects the the internet via PPPOE no problem.
And I currently have an RB450 plugged into the back of the Zyxel P320W.

What we want is to take the Zyxel box out and have the RB450 connecting to the ISP via PPPOE.
I’ve setup the pppoe-client as per the installation manual put I only get “authenticating… / Disconnect”

How do I switch on debug messages so I can see whats going wrong ?

Any suggestions ?

Ok I’ve worked out the problem.

The ISP was using MAC address filtering, I got them to reset the filter and the connection came up!

Problem solved.
