Hi there,
Admittedly I’m a noob when it comes to network stuff, so please bear with me.
I’ve recently bought 2 hAP lite routers that I wanted to set up as Access Points for my home internet. One hAP lite is connected (ether1) via LAN cable to my main Router (not MikroTik). The set up of the first AP was pretty easy and was done almost automatically.
For the 2nd Access Point I connected the the 2nd hAP router (ether1) to my first hAP router (ether2) via LAN cable. Since the first AP acts like a LAN-switch I would assume that the set up of the 2nd access point would be as simple as the first AP, but that’s not the case.
For some reason the 2nd AP can’t connect with the main router. The Setup-Wizard on Android claims to successfully set up the AP, but I have no access to the Internet with the 2nd router.
Does anybody know what I’m missing here?
Here’s a sketch of my set up. (Link incase embedding doesn’t work: https://imgur.com/mkTOfyC)
