Problems setting up wAP2nD into AP Station/Client Mode

I am trying to set up a brand new wAP2nD into AP Station/Client Mode. Basically I want to connect to an AP and use the wAP2nD’s ethernet port to connect to a computer. I have read https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Wireless_AP_Client and https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Connect_to_an_Available_Wireless_Network. The problem is when I go to scan or connect to the AP it either disconnects me (if i am connected via wifi-which i obviously understand why), or if connected via ethernet through the cap mode (by holding down the reset for 10 secs), and configuring through winbox it gives me the error that it is controlled by capsman and I connect change any wireless settings. What am I doing wrong?

Dear DanHarvey,
Your cAP have a factory configuration (default mikrotik ip address,Bridge configurations with those slave ports and etc) so you need to reset your cAP with no default configuration selection(system–>reset configuration–>check the no default configuration) and then your cAP haven’t any factory configuration. Because when your cAP controlled by capsman you need to configure it from your capsman server or capsman Controller.
