Problems using 'Auto Upgrade' on RB1000

Well this is the second time I’ve had to type this as my first post disappeared after clicking the ‘Submit’ button. Anyway…I have an RB1000 that I’m trying to upgrade to v4.5. I’m connecting to it thru Winbox from my PC. In Winbox when i click on ‘System’ > ‘Auto Upgrade’ and window pops up listing available packages. None are listed. I added a ‘Package Source’ that is the information for my FTP server. The FTP server is a box sitting on a local network that is connected to the RB1000. The only file available to the user connecting is the ROS file called “routeros-powerpc-4.5.npk”. In Winbox when i click on ‘Refresh’ nothing happens. When i click on ‘Download All’ I immediately get an error message that says “Couldn’t perform action - there is no newer full release version available (6).”

Does ‘Auto Upgrade’ use FTP to communicate? If not, what then? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help!

I did do a search on Mikrotik’s website for ‘Auto Upgrade’ and it was absolutely no help. It seems to me that the hardware and software of the RB1000 are very good, but the documentation is woefully lacking and EXTREMELY user UNFRIENDLY.
