I’m facing a problem (as WISP) that is driving me crazy.
I’ve several Mktik boards running 4.16 and 5.17 ROS and acting as hotspot
and radius server each one. They are almost with de default hotspot/radius
setup with no special setup. (no filter rules, no mangle rules, no queues, etc..)
Over last two weeks some clients are getting “Web page cannot be diplayed”
when using facebook over the web at 5 to 10 minutes of facebook use.
after that users are forced to login again in order to use facebook.
All other services (mail, voip, web, online gaming, …) are working correctly.
In the begining i suspected a dns cache problem, so i flushed the dns cache in every
router but it didn’t work.
After that i decided to remove my firewall rules (on filter and mangle) and my queue tree config.
it did not work as well.
Then i bypassed the hotspot for the problematics clients with an ip binding,
but they continued having the problem.
For one client i borrowed a “clean laptop” to discard malware issues but he reported the
same problem.
with another client we tested her facebook account directly with a dsl connection
and it worked like a charm.
As you probably guess I’m not very skilled in networking troubleshooting.
it would be great if someone can suggest where and how i should have a look to solve the issue.
