Problems with hotmail / windows live mail and hotspot?

Hello,

having an issues with people access windows live mail (new version of hotmail) via an MT box setup as a hotspot.
I’ve seen a number of threads on this issue but no solutions as of yet.

Issues are that for some people it won’t login, some people it’ll have load and some others have no problems at all.

Not sure what information will help people figure this out, but we’re running 2.9.44 and aren’t using the web-proxy.

Add 2 Mangle Rules to change incoming MSS and outgoing MSS.

example please ??

two mangle rules to change all MSS to what? 1480?
MTU size is untouched at the moment.

/ ip firewall mangle
add chain=forward in-interface=local protocol=tcp tcp-flags=syn action=change-mss new-mss=1360
add chain=forward out-interface=public protocol=tcp tcp-flags=syn action=change-mss new-mss=1360

still no luck, although it seems if I get users to go directly via the proxy it will work.
no luck trying the same with the transparent proxy thou.

Upgrade the router to the latest version (2.9.45), enable ‘web-proxy,debug’ logs and generate support output file, when Hotmail is not working and send it to support.

We are having very similar problems running hotspot. It seems to affect things going through IP Binding bypass. When we add IP addresses into the IP Binding Bypass list on hotspot, they will not get access to some websites. The TCP MSS rules don’t help in this case.

Any word on this?

try enabling the web-proxy and get one or two of them to assign that and see if it works. (Did for me)
