I am trying to configure my router for Port forwarding and it is not working. Wan is either 1 and has a public IP address. I have included screen shots of the set up. I also have the firewall rules which might not be allowing the traffic to pass. Do I need a specific firewall rule to allow incoming connections to be forwarded?
Everything seems to be in order but trying to make sense of the mess in firewall rules is a good idea.
ORDER is important and yours is all mixed up.
INput Chain Rules, then
FORWard Chain rules.
Also you do not need to put a firewall rule in place for winbox, besides the fact that we now all know you use the default port for winbox.
Use the ip services menu selections to highlight which port and who in particular can access the winbox,
All you need in the input chain is a rule to allow source address list to winbox (typically a trusted subnet or your pc or your pc and your laptop etc).
Also you have duplicate rules in your firewall list you should get rid of those.
As it is written, you need to delete duplicate rules.
if all the necessary ports are nated to the same address and port, one NAT rule is sufficient.
“dst. port” specifies the port range eg: 8824,8900,8907,8925,9000-9017
I don’t think that IP address 10.0.1.61 is correct.
From the pictures you can see the local scale 192.168.88.0.
Is this destination really valid?
