Hi everybody,

I’m planning to start a WISP. I’ve 20 mbps Submarine Cable Duplex IP Bandwidth (Leased Internet Access) connection in my Branch Office as well as a 70 feet height tower and the same tower at my Main Office which is 12km far away from the Branch Office. I want to setup a Base Station with Three sets of BaseBox5 (RB912UAG-5HPnD) with RFelements Sector MIMO Antennas (18dbi 5Ghz 90degree) as AP, One RB2011UiAS-RM to manage the Whole system.

In that moment I’ve some clients resides 5 to 10 km away from my Base Station. Can they use SXT Lite5 as CPE?
From my Branch Office to my Main Office which is 12km away what should I use as P2P Backhaul connection?

Please help me regarding above mentioned project.

You can get your answers from some freeware software called Radio Mobile. The learning curve is a bit steep so let me know if you would like me to get you some propagation maps.

It is possible to use an SXT at 10km but I suspect that you would be better off with an external high gain antenna at this distance because I would assume that your path would not be perfect at this distance.
