I’ve been making an AP Power solution recently, and can’t help feeling that it already has been done.
Has anyone found a system that :-
Has 4 remotely switchable PoE outputs (RJ45)
Has a secured web interface
Has a four-port 10/100 switch
Uses any car battery
Charges the battery properly
Reports on the Battery’s State, and tells you when to replace it
Does not turn off the AP(s) when changing battery
Supports remote PoE off/on to reboot stuff
Allows Two normal laptop PSUs to be used, and reports on their state
Alternatively allows 1 PSU and a Solar panel to be used (with MPPT)
Allows multiple IPs to be configured so all stuff can be mapped on Dude
Costs about 100 euros, or less
