Proper way to use K-25 screw set that comes with a BaseBox

Hello!

With my BaseBox2 I got a screw set labeled “K-25” that was designed for installation of an additional PCI-E card. The set contains two screws, a washer and a metal barrel.

When I installed a R11e-5HacD wireless card, I could use only one screw to attach it to a similar barrel soldered into the board. The 2nd hole on the card was left unused, as well and the remaining items from the screw set, as there was no matching hole in the board under that hole in the card.

The question is - am I doing anything wrong? Are the other items (the barrel, the washer, and the 2nd screw) intended for a different type of card or have I missed something? Infortunately, I have found no information on how to use it properly.

there are shorter cards, they mount in the lower position. you don’t need to use that hole, one hole is enough. the second screw is just in case you loose the first one :slight_smile:
