Proposed project (Based on Mikrotik)

Hi all,

This project (Attachments topology) it is to supply wifi network with remote operation center of surveillance system (Point A) about 3 link point and 1 link point optional.

Point A:

  • Hardware (NetMetal 5 + mANT30 PA)
  • Distance 3 Km or 1.86 miles to point B with point view clear without interference.
  • Position: building roof (high point)

Point B:

  • Hardware: NetMetal 5 as WSD + mANT30 PA
  • Position: Montain high point
  • Distance from B to C 1.80 Km or 1.11 miles

Point C:

  • Hardware: NetMetal 5 as WSD + mANT30 PA


    I got some questions because it’s my first big project and i want to hear some expert suggestions:

Point B, i need use 2 antennas (receive and transmit signal) with same NetMetal 5 or i need 2 NetMetal (both with antenna) ?

  • NetMetal with 3 chains can resolve this problem ?

  • I’m understand dual chains it’s for Vertical and Horizontal polarity, and the number 3 is for ?

Hi,

You will need 2 Radio’s on point B.

I would say rather get the 2 chain version.

All the links are a close distance.

If there is free spectrum them you can go 80Mhz ac on those links with a low tx power, just make sure you are using gigabit PoE’s

According the distance your little use DD (DynaDish5)
If I have understood correctly,You do not have RF-Los
For this reason,Using the midpoint
According to the terms you have two options.
1- Using 2 Radio’s on point B
2- Using method passive repeater (This method places where access is difficult and there is no electricity )
