Our Router is over an hour away so I have been logging in remotely. WAN port is PPPoE and masquerade is turned on to local port running DHCP. Problem is that I logged into router this evening using the WEB interface and turned on “protect Router”. Now I can not longer get in remotely. I assume the only way I can connect is now through serial connection. What did I turn on (or off)?? I really need to connect remotely. Thanks in advance.
You turned off any inbound connections directly to the router via the WAN interface. Unless you have access to a device behind the router that you can get in from remotely you are going to have to go on site.
