Proxy

I am new to using proxies, and thought I would play with it a little.
I have a PC with ROS V3beta9.
4 ether ports
ether1 → DSL modem
pppoe-out1
ether2 → Backhaul 1 RB532
ether3 → Backhaul 2 RB532
ether4 → Internal Wired Network

When proxy was enabled there was a problem with accessing https sites from ether4, unless the proxy address and port were entered into the web browser. These clients also could not access pop3 and smtp.
I verified this with my laptop which I use wirelessly from the APs fed by those backhauls.

Every one of those ether ports has a seperate subnet as illustrated below:
ether1 - pppoe-out1 - Provider defined /24
ether2 /30
ether3 /30
ether4 /24

What could be the problem?
What other info should I provide?

I found the solution…

DO NOT ROUTE TRAFFIC THROUGH A ROUTERBOARD WITH ROUTER OS WHEN PROXY IS ENABLED.

DEDICATE A WHOLE MACHINE FOR THE TASK OF PROXY.
