Proxying SSL via Miktotik

We are new to Wireless networking so have limited knowledge.

The issue we have is that the Mikrotik is acting as a transparent proxy, passing traffic to a parent proxy. This works for Port 80, but does not work for SSL as you apparentely cannot pass SSL through a tranparent Proxy.

The basic setup is that the Wireless Clients are on one network, and they are configured with the IP of the Proxy as their Gateway. The actual Proxy Server is on another Network, which the Mikrotik also sits on.

The Mikrotik fowrards traffic to the Proxy Server.

The only solution that works is to manually set the IP of the parent proxy into the browser settings, however, this is not acceptable for end users.

Can you think of any way to make this work with SSL or to automate the above configuration? We know that a PAC file can handle this but cannot see how this can be pushed out.
Thanks.
