Continuing to expand my knowledge here. Here is what I have so far and my question:
su on 5ghz (back haul w/eth1 at 192.168.1.2) 411 board connected to internet gateway(192.168.1.1)
wireless linked to:
433 board with: (192.168.1.3 on eth1, not using eth2 or eth3 as I am assuming bridge1 will pass traffic across the two radio cards without me having to go out to a switch and back???)
ap on 5ghz connected to the above (back haul). It has the above unit’s ip address setup as the gateway. Also bridge1
ap on 900mhz, bridge1 (I can plug into eth1 at this point and surf the net so I believe my routing is good to the eth1 on the board)
wireless linked to:
411 board su with: (192.168.1.4)
900mhz card, bridge1 (I can’t surf.)
I have tried putting the ip of the su connected to the internet (192.168.1.1) as the gateway with destination 0.0.0.0 but no luck.
wds is set at both 900 ends as dynamic and set to bridge1. 900 radios are registered and allowing dhcp all the way through to my laptop connected to eth1(192.168.1.4). I can not ping out from the 900su from my laptop connected to eth1.
I’m unsure of how to use the ‘nexthop’ features. I was thinking I could setup a destination and gateway at the su of 0.0.0.0/0 and 192.168.1.3. then at the ap setup 0.0.0.0/0 and 192.168.1.2. (hop from su to ap to bh???) What should I change the gateway interface to in this case assuming I am on the right track?
What must I do to allow the 900mhz su to properly find the gateway and allow internet traffic?
It’s a pretty broad question I know. I’ll try to dial it in more as I work through the issue in the coming days.
Many thanks in advance for any help as I continue to learn.
