PTP Antenna !!

Hallo everyone ,
I would like to ask witch antenna should I use to get a PTP connection range is 3 Km link in sight nothing in the way .
Need to get minimum of 400 MBits internet connection on it .
Would be nice if someone have tested a ptp antenna and get such result to share me what did he use and if there is a special configuration for that .
That you

I which Country?
How much EIRP are allowed to you in 5 GHz Band?

We are in Germany, thank you

You would need to use another band, such as 24Ghz, 17Ghz, 80Ghz etc to get those sorts of speeds.

Unfortunately this bands are licensed in Germany that’s way I’m asking if there is a way or special antenna to get this with 5 ghz in 3 km distance , what you think about the airfiber from ubiquity?

24GHz p2p radios are made for this kind of situations (high throughput at short distances), it is unfortunate that you’re not allowed to use them.
If EIRP regulation in Germany allows it and the 5GHz spectrum is clean between those two sites you might take a chance with airFiber (AF5, ask more details at their forum).
In most cases that kind of throughput would be really hard to achieve without licensed link - especially at 5GHz band.

M.

Thank you for this great details

If you are in the middle of nowhere with no interference you “may” get those speeds using airfibre. I doubt you would get 400/400 though, maybe like 350/100 or so.
e.g in my country we cannot use 24Ghz either, however we can use 80Ghz which works really well at those distances using only 1 foot dishes and I get 1000/1000Mbps 99.8% of the time. However the price is around $7000 for the kit.
