ptp connection

Hi guys,

please help me out!

i want to get the most out of a ptp connection (nsteam dual or other)!

i got only miserable data rates (distance: from 2 cm to 5 km) :frowning:

i have 2x SXT or 2x RB 800 with 5.7 or 2x RB600 with Antennas (basic and dual) from 8 - 28dbi

can anyone send me a config file or the like?

Hi,
here is the configuration of nstream dual http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Nstreme_dual_Step-by-Step, for this you need two single pol antenna or one dual in each side. I’ve tried this and achieved a satisfying result with RB433UAH in 5 km with 60Mbps real throughput.

i have already tried a nstreme dual connection like this description!
but on 5 km i’ve got only 30Mbps real throughput :confused: !

how about 802.11n ? how would such a ptp connencion work? would i get a better result?

I would use N with OSPF. Try this.
